I’ve started my classes and eventually started thinking to myself that it’s time for an upgrade. The only problem that I have come across is whether or not to upgrade my current desktop (which I could probably mine for oil it’s so old) or get a new laptop. I’ve seen some MoBo/Proc/RAM combination that seem sufficient for my gaming….er, SCHOOL needs, and the same for laptops. Both would almost cost the same in price to purchase. I guess it all comes down to which would be more practical to purchase. Open to ideas/suggestions.

I’ve looked at a few things for laptops:
ASUS
ACER

As for PC parts:
Intel w/ Combo
This looks promising w/ combo also.

Just a few I looked at. NOTHING concrete.

Good time at Gateway Tech. IT and OS Fundamentals was a breeze, as was intro to networking. Math and Logic was by far the easiest class I had, and math is not friendly to me. English, or “Successful College Writing” as my text book says, was my bane of education. First three essays we 85, 50 and 60%. First essay was a show me what you got essay, numbers 2 and 3 were cited works. THAT is what did me in. Surprisingly, my Final was a test of sorts. I had one hour to write a 500 word essay on the characteristics of a born hero. I did that with 15 minutes to spare. The I had just over 5 days to make it an Argumentative Essay, which I read and read the chapter but could not understand how. So, I added a couple words…(5 exactly, all the same word, “should”) and turned it in. I got a 98%…!

So, in antici…..pation of next semester, my classes are looking like fun: Intro to Programming and Database, Network Admin. - MS, Technical Reporting, Intro. to Sociology, and, finally, Hardware/Software Troubleshooting. 1 down, 3 to go….COME ON ARIZONA!!!

All of my classes have teachers, so as of 9/9/09 (such a mighty popular date) I am a Student and one day closer to moving to AZ. So much riding on this, so I have to keep going and do this.

Got all of my classes for IT: Customer Support Specialist. I have to physically show up for only 3 of the classes, the other 2 I do online. I only used about half of my quarterly allowance for college (roughly $2,000 of $4,000) so I think it’s high time I got a laptop. I’m now asking the powers that be, Don and Daryl, what would be a good/great school/gaming laptop? I await with awe.

All I’ve wanted for years is a great garden. We haven’t had the money, or room, or whatever to do it, until now. We got a rebate from Menards. So, we went in & got everything we needed, for under $40. Yesterday Eric churned up the soil & I planted 2 rose bushes, 4 Hastas, & a bunch of Gladiolas & Sun Flowers in front of our house. Next weekend Eric’s going to till my garden in the back. I’m planting a bunch of veggies & a few fruits. I’m very excited! I don’t have any pictures of my garden, but here’s some we recently took of Liam.

Our photography company is starting to generate business. We just did WI DeMolay Sweethearts, this saturday we’ll be photographing Mrs Wisconsin. We’ve got prolly 2 baby sessions this month. Then Grand Session in June. 2 co-workers are having babies in Aug, hoping they’ll have us come take pictures. At least one Senior picture session soon. & an Honored Queen session. This is awesome!!!. Unfortunately I’ve been a lil busy from all of it. Here’s a couple pics I’ve taken so far.
